Having heard Jack Caputo several times, read his books and seminar papers, I still struggled to understand his vocabulary. Thank you, Marianne, for helping with understanding better his ideas on looking at theology in new ways, as well as God, reality of life events etc. So much of what you talked about, the poem, the list of things to do when in dialogue with others, all seems to boil down to being in the Here and Now. Your example of seeing the “rainbow” effect in the sky would have been missed had you been focused about what happened to Marc after his transition; focus on the future, rather than the present. Plus, your comment that events don’t last but the effects do. Thank you so much.
