We return once again to Second Saturday Conversation on September 12, 2026.

This program year, Marianne Borg invites us to explore the question: “How do we sing our song in a strange and foreign land?” A line from Psalm 137, written during a time of exile and captivity.

She adds a subtitle: Voice break. In music, passaggio refers to the transition where a singer’s voice shifts from one register to another. Is some passage, transition, or transgression being asked of us now if we are to sing “our song” with honesty, authenticity, and power; to sing from the depths of our experience rather than from performative or habituated familiarity?

We live in a strange and difficult time. Perhaps it is time to find our voice. It might require a different register. A voice break.

All are welcome, and the sessions are free. Please RSVP to receive the link for the gathering. We meet from 9:30–11:00 a.m. Pacific time.
