Valley Presbyterian Church Women’s Retreat 2019

What do we think it means to listen to Jesus? What do we hear? What is suggested by the command to follow him? We will take time for what poets call “eloquent listening” to the message of Jesus, to ourselves and to each other. We will reexamine or reclaim our convictions, what we believe and why. And consider them annunciations for our own journeys.

Marianne Borg, the facilitator, is a retired Episcopal priest. She served for 18 years at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland, OR. She founded Trinity’s Center for Spiritual Development. She now lives in Central Oregon. She is the widow of Marcus Borg, who she argues is the best Christian theologian of the 21st Century.
